The ABC of It: Why Children’s Books Matter

The exhibit is up!

And we are pretty darn proud. 

The exhibit will be open Now – May 31, 2019. Hours correspond with regular Andersen Library building hours:

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Join us at a continuing education open house. Enjoy the exhibit with a discussion geared towards educators and librarians, but all are welcome.

Join us for a series of thematic talks related to The ABC of It, featuring local authors and artists. The March 20th event focuses on the making of The ABC of It with exhibit designer Darren Terpstra, project manager Mary Schultz, and curator Lisa Von Drasek. No RSVP required.

In honor of The ABC of It: Why Children’s Books Matter exhibit, the CLRC has partnered with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) for a course on children’s literature. These sessions are open to all (RSVP required), and each class focuses on one floor of the exhibit.

Please RSVP for each session you plan on attending at the above links, as seating is limited. If you are a member of OLLI, we request that you sign up through them, rather than through the public RSVP links.
